Louis Fulgoni: Memory + Legacy kicked off with a one-hour virtual opening on June 29, 2022. Produced as a Pride Month special in cooperation with the Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), the program was a tribute to Louis’s life and work. It featured in-depth conversations with co-curators Michael McKee and Timothy Ledwith, as well as other voices commenting on Louis’s family life on Staten Island and his involvement in activism for gay rights. Many thanks to Any Hansen, David Martinez, Cory Brice, Leon Taylor and director Richard Speziale at MNN for their work on producing the opening, and to veteran LBGTQ activist and journalist Andy Humm for his warm and insightful hosting.
